<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a positive electrode active material which can prevent elution of Mn without mixing an additive in an electrolyte and elements such as expensive Co and Ni and has long life. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material 1 includes a primary crystal phase 2 containing manganese and formed from lithium-containing transition metal oxide with a spinel type structure. The positive electrode active material used for a nonaqueous secondary battery has oxygen arrangement equal to the lithium-containing transition metal oxide, and has a different element composition. A sub-crystal phase 3 with a spinel type structure is formed in the primary crystal phase 2 at a stratified state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
