The invention relates to a display device based on the use of fluids for visualizing information. In order to ensure simple exchangeability of fluids, the invention provides a central fluid reservoir which may be utilized in combination with a fluid display device of any desired design. For this purpose, the central fluid reservoir is coupled to the fluid display elements, which can be refilled with the colored fluid.
