PURPOSE: An acoustic sensor system for estimating a position of an underwater mover and a method thereof are provided to correct a position error by periodically estimating a position of an underwater mover using two PRUs. CONSTITUTION: An underwater mover(200) includes a line array sound sensor. The underwater mover produces each receiving angle for two PDU by using a time difference of a sound wave signal of each sensor of the line array sound sensor. The underwater mover estimates the position by using the two receiving angles, the stored position values of the two PDU, and a distance value between the two PRUs. The location value of the PRU is calculated by using the measured distance value.
