PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a carbon nanotube on stainless steel and a high density carbon nanotube manufactured thereby are provided to manufacture a carbon nanotube which is electrically connected to a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a carbon nanotube on stainless steel is as follows. A double metal layer is deposited on stainless steel. The stainless steel substrate is placed on an alumina boat and is placed on the center of a quartz tube of a furnace device. The quartz tube is heated by supplying hydrogen and argon to the inside the furnace device. A carbon nanotube is formed by supplying a carbon source and water to the quarts tube.
