PURPOSE: A method for removing hydrogen sulfide from gas using stainless steel slag is provided to cost-efficiently remove hydrogen sulfide from gas by passing the gas through a filter composed of stainless steel slag. CONSTITUTION: A method for removing hydrogen sulfide from gas using stainless steel slag is as follows. Stainless steel slag powder is formed by shattering stainless steel slag. The stainless steel slag powder is alkali-treated by depositing the stainless steel slag into a 0.5~1.5% sodium hydroxide solution. The alkali-treated stainless steel slag powder is collected and is dried. An absorbent is formed by heat-treating the stainless steel slag powder for 10 to 15 hours. Exhausted gas is injected to an exhaust path so that the absorbent can absorb hydrogen sulfide. The adsorbent is collected, and the exhaust gas is exhausted. |
