PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To paste a top plate to a top cover, without making a mistake of a pasting surface, in a casing for an electric device. SOLUTION: The casing 4 includes a top cover 5 having a top board 51, and a bottom chassis 6 having a bottom plate 61, on which an electronic component 3 is loaded. The top cover 5 has a top plate 52 which is a plate-like weight, and the top board 51 is fixed to the bottom chassis 6 to cover the electronic component 3. The top plate 52 is pasted to the bottom surface of the top board 51 and has a projected part 55, projecting onto a surface opposite a pasting surface 54 to the top board 51. In the casing 4, even if a worker pastes the top plate 52 to the top cover 5 on the surface opposite the pasting surface 54 by mistake, the projected part 55 will block the pasting.
