COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTING AND IMPROVING PERIODONTAL DISEASE

PURPOSE: A composition containing ginkgo leaf extract is provided to suppress collagenase activity with antibacterial and antioxidative functions and to prevent and treat periodontal diseases. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating periodontal diseases contains 0.01-1 weight parts of ginkgo leaf extract, 0.01-3 weight parts of pantenol, and 0.01-5 weight parts of sodium chloride. The composition prevents and treats periodontal diseases by suppressing Porphyromonas gingivalis. The composition is manufactured in the form of toothpaste, oral cleanser, chewing gum, or candy.
