PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for offering a communication service using an IPTV are provided to offer broadcasting watching and video call and message services at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An STB(Set Top Box) communicating unit(111) receives a broadcasting signal from an STB. An IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem) communicating unit(112) receives the first video call signal of the other party from an IMS switch. The IMS communicating unit transmits the second video call signal of a user to the IMS switch. A screen control unit(115) respectively partitions and displays the image of the other party on the screen of an IPTV.
