PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the throughput of the recording operation by making a sheet interval for performing spare ejection small, while maintaining the strength of a conveyance belt configured to perform spare ejection through-holes formed in the conveyance belt. SOLUTION: Spare ejection holes 7 in two or more kinds of different arrangements in direction that intersects a conveyance direction Y are formed in the conveyance belt 3 which conveys a sheet P. Belt regions of two or more kinds in which spare ejection holes 7 in the same arrangement are continuously arranged in a plurality of arrays in the conveyance direction Y are provided at least at one or more points for every different spare ejection holes 7. In all of the belt regions, a time necessary for conveying a distance added with the maximum sheet length recorded by a recording head 5 to a distance from the end on the conveyance downstream side of each belt region to the end on the conveyance downstream side of a belt region located on the conveyance upstream side which has the spare ejection holes 7 in the same arrangement is made equivalent to or shorter than the time interval of performing spare ejection by the same ink ejecting part of the recording head 5.
