PURPOSE: A system and method for installing a program are provided to download an install program efficiently due to the download of the program using P2P networks. CONSTITUTION: A handler(310) receives installation data(330) which includes installation files and file information data, saves the data into a record medium, and controls program installation. An installation module(320) checks a receiving completed installation file among the installation files included in the installation data after receiving the control of the handler, and installs the receiving completed installation file. The installation file is a setup file in which a copy file copied to a specific position or an installation program is recorded.
