<p>The method for removing nitric oxides and hydrogen nitrite from acid mixture, comprises removing the nitrogen oxide and the hydrogen nitrite by the introduction of kinetic energy in the mixture by blowing gas into the acid mixture, stripping with gas, and pumping the acid mixture over a drop section. Waste acids occurring from the polysilicon- or solar industry are used as the acid mixture. The acid mixture consists of hydrogen fluoride/nitrous acid/nitric acid/ hexfluorosilicic acid and hydrogen fluoride/nitrous acid/nitric acid.
