<p>An image forming apparatus comprising: an image bearing member(6); a conveying member(24); a transfer means(9); an attraction means(28a), which is disposed upstream of the transfer means(9) in a conveying direction of the transfer material, for attracting the transfer material onto the conveying member(24); and a winding means(26), which is disposed downstream of the transfer means(9) in the conveying direction of the transfer material, for winding the conveying member(24), wherein a contact amount between the conveying member(24) and the winding means(26) corresponding to a first region where a width of the attraction means(28a) pressing the conveying member(24) in the conveying direction is a first width is smaller than the contact amount between the conveying member(24) and the winding means(26) corresponding to a second region in which a width of the attraction means(28a) which presses the conveying member(24) in the conveying direction is a second width that is smaller than the first width.</p> |
