PURPOSE: A variable tappet and a variable valve lift device comprising the same are provided to save manufacturing cost by simplifying a construction and prevent the damage to a tappet by preventing interference by a latching pin. CONSTITUTION: A variable tappet comprises inner and outer tappet bodies(100,200) and a latching unit(300). The inner tappet body comprises an insertion hole(110) and a protrusion unit(120). The insertion hole is formed on the side. The protrusion unit is formed in the insertion hole. The outer tappet body protects the inner tappet body. The outer tappet body is slid to the inner tappet body. The latching unit is installed on the outer tappet body and is selectively inserted into the insertion hole.
