<p>PURPOSE: A connecting rod and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a cylindrical bore on a connecting rod by applying one of a compressive load and a tensile load to an uncompleted bore and machining the transformed uncompleted bore into a cylindrical shape. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a connecting rod is as follows. An uncompleted bore, which has an approximately cylindrical shape, is formed on an end of a connecting rod(10). One of a compressive load and a tensile load is applied to the connecting rod in order to at least partially transform the uncompleted bore into a non-cylindrical shape. While one of a compressive load and a tensile load is applied to the connecting rod, the transformed uncompleted core is machined into a cylindrical shape.</p> |
