Disclosed is a carton for containing a plurality of articles. The carton includes a plurality of panels that extend around an interior of the carton. The plurality of panels includes a top panel, a bottom panel, a first side panel, and a second side panel. The carton further includes end flaps respectively foldably attached to respective panels of the plurality of panels and a dispenser for allowing removal of articles from the carton. The end flaps are overlapped with respect to one another and thereby at least partially close an end of the carton. The dispenser includes a dispenser panel which is defined by a tear line in the carton and can be removed to provide a dispenser opening. The dispenser panel has an edge in at least one of the side panels. The tear line includes an upper tear line and a lower tear line spaced apart and respectively extending across the closed end of the carton. The carton further includes an access panel in at least one of the side panels for being inwardly folded to initiate separation of the edge from the side panel and grasping of the edge for removal of the dispenser panel. The access panel is foldably attached to the at least one of the side panels and adjacent the edge. The access panel includes an actuator panel foldably connected to one of the first and second side panels. The access panel includes two access flaps foldably connected to the actuator panel. The access flaps are separable from the dispenser panel along a tear line defining the edge of the dispenser panel. Independent claims for a carton blank and a method of opening a carton are also provided.
