FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed system comprises multiple stages spaced apart in lengthwise direction and adapted to displacement between compressed and expanded states, and multiple transducers arranged around, at least, an arc of circle of each said stage in compressed state with, at least, one gap between transducers in each stage in expanded state. Note here that said transducers are arranged so that, at least, one gap in the first of multiple stages is aligned with the section of second of multiple stages accommodating pulsed eddy current transducers to allow a complete coverage of the pipeline by pulsed eddy current transducers. ^ EFFECT: easier control of pipeline inner surface with sharp turns and multiple gates. ^ 21 cl, 7 dwg |
