The drive strand has two combustion engines and two electro-machines for optional drive of wheels of the hybrid vehicle. The former combustion engine (V1) stands over a drive (G) in effect connection with an axle (A1) with a wheel. The latter combustion engine (V2) stands in effect connection with an electro-machine (E1) operated as generator, and another electro-machine (E2) stands in effect connection with another axle (A2) with a wheel. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating drive strand.
