The bridge has a deck (1) comprising longitudinal opposite edges (1A, 1B) connected by two opposite end edges. The deck is pivoted between raised and lowered positions around a pivoting shaft (20). The shaft forms a pivoting axis of the deck and is extended orthogonal to a longitudinal axis of the deck. A deck driving unit has a mobile gear mesh unit (5) meshed with a fixed mesh gear unit (2). End parts (20A, 20B) of the shaft are projected from the edges of the deck for permitting direct or indirect fixation of the end parts in bridge abutments.
