PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of suppressing minute sliding abrasion between terminals without increasing fitting force. SOLUTION: This connector 100 includes a connector housing 13 having a hood 11, the other connector housing inserted in the hood 11 to produce fit, and a cover 17 in the connector housing 13 to cover the outer wall of the hood 11 after fitting of both housings. The cover 17 is positioned by a locking means 49 to set the cover at a temporary locking position prior to fitting of both housings and a normal locking position in fitting, and rib protrusions H, C abutting on the wall surface on the opposite housing side with pressing force applied in fitting of both housings are protrusively provided in at least one of the connector housing 13 and the cover 17.
