<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents deformation of an opening/closing cover without improving strength of the opening/closing cover, when installing a unit on an image forming apparatus body side of the opening/closing cover. <P>SOLUTION: When the opening/closing cover 214 is closed, at least a part of pressing force to be applied on a secondary transfer unit 10 is received by the image forming apparatus body 110 side.
