[Also in Divisions E1, F1, and F2] A manually guided power operated implement having a reciprocating tool 8 comprises a prime mover I-an I.C. engine or an electric motor-detachably flanged to the casing of the implement, driving the tool 8 through a centrifugal clutch 15, a connecting rod 3 pivoted to one end of a rocking lever 4, a connecting rod 6 pivoted to the other end of the lever 4, and an oscillating system 7. A fulcrum pin 5 engages a slot 11 in the lever 4, the latter being movable longitudinally by a pinion 13 and rack 12 to adjust the lever fulcrum. Balance masses 10 on the connecting rod 3 and lever 4 counteract the effect of the mass of the reciprocating system 7. |
