Two or more rolls of twine are packaged by inserting them into a tube of heat shrinkable material, folding the ends of the tube round the ends of the articles, and heat-shrinking the material around the articles. The twine of the rolls is joined so that it may be drawn out from the package in a single strand. The rolls may be placed in end-to-end or side-by-side relation in the package. A tear tab may be provided in order to facilitate opening of the package. The ends of the tubular material may be tucked into the hollow core of the rolls of twine, or the ends may be closed by a protective sheet of paper &c. If the rolls are packed side-by-side the ends of the tube are folded over and sealed prior to shrinking. |
