PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device which secures a predetermined waterproof property even when external force is loaded from an external. SOLUTION: In the operation input device, when an operation dial 60 supported above a printed board 20 is rotated, magnetic detection sensors 26, 27 mounted on the printed board 20 detect a change of a magnetic field based on the rotating operation of the operation dial 60. Especially, the printed board 20 is mounted on a base 10 having an annular rib 11 projecting on an upper surface outer circumferential edge part, the base 10 is coated with elastic water proof material 40 having a flat surface shape for covering the base 10, caulking projections 73, 74 projecting on a lower surface of a ring shape fixing tool 70 are pressed in water-proof pressing holes 47, 48 arranged on the elastic waterproof material 40, and are caulked and fixed on the base 10 to rotatably retain the operation dial 60.
