PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of constantly providing captured images with favorable color balance. SOLUTION: This endoscope apparatus includes: an endoscope 11 which includes an imaging optical system and an illumination optical system at the distal end of an endoscope insertion section 19; and a control means 43 which includes light source sections 45 and 47 connected to the endoscope 11 and supplying at least excitation light used for making a fluorescent substance 57 emit light, to the illumination optical system, and an image processing section 91 outputting an image signal by correcting the image signal output from the imaging element 21 on the basis of a predetermined color correction table 99. The control means 43 performs a calibration process in such a manner that an image of a color chart including a plurality of color patches with known chromaticity values is captured by the imaging element 21, chromaticity for each of the plurality of color patches is obtained from an imaging signal of the color chart to be defined as a measured chromaticity value respectively, and the contents of the color correction table 99 are changed so that the measured chromaticity values of the respective color patches become the known chromaticity values.
