PURPOSE: A method for preparing hydroxyapatite from tuna bone is provided to increase grain size of HAp according to the increase of temperature. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing hydroxyapatite from tuna bone comprises: a step of washing tuna bone with water; a step of mixing the washed tuna bone with sodium hydroxide solution and acetone and eliminating lipid, oil, and other organic impurities; a step of drying and pulverizing the tuna bone; and a step of preparing hydroxyapatite by heating the pulverized tuna bone to 600-1200 deg.C.
