By reaction of tris-aziridinyl-phosphine oxide with 1-3 molecules tris-hydroxymethyl-phosphine in presence of water; and neutralisation with acids. Preferably, in presence of 0.5-1 mol. water per mol. tris-hydroxymethyl-phosphine. Products used as additives in plastics to reduce inflammability.
