PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of recording high quality images by suppressing the influence of the difference of the properties of head chips to be small when recording the images using a plurality of head chips. SOLUTION: The head chips are evenly used in any of recording areas with different recording widths when recording the images on each of the plurality of recording areas of a recording medium using the plurality of head chips by multipass recording system.
