VIDEO DECODING METHOD, DEVICE AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously reproduce video by making a time stamp continuous regardless of a selection event when selecting and decoding video from multiple video data.

SOLUTION: A time stamp acquisition unit 107 obtains time stamp information at a preset stream reading position about each stream stored in N pieces of stream buffers. A decoding stream setter 108 sets a stream to be decoded and a time stamp to start decoding. A stream transferring unit 105 reads streams from a reading position corresponding to the set time stamp to the next reading position from stream buffers 101 to 104 and transfers the streams to a decoder buffer 106, and a stream decoding unit 109 decodes the streams to generate image information.
