COLOR FILTER, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter or the like in which the number of processes in the manufacturing process is reduced and which can meet the need of the high definition of a liquid crystal display device.

SOLUTION: The color filter 1 includes: a substrate 1; a black matrix 5 formed on the substrate 1 and having a plurality of opening parts; a blue colored layer 7B, a red colored layer 7R and a green colored layer 7G formed on the substrate 1 so as to cover the opening parts of the black matrix 5; a main PS 11a formed to be in contact with the upper surface of the blue colored layer 7B; and a protective layer 9 formed so as to cover a part or the whole of the surfaces of the black matrix 5, the blue colored layer 7B, the red colored layer 7R and the green colored layer 7G except a part where the main PS 11a is formed and the periphery thereof.
