METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING CHANNEL QUALITY INFORMATION

<p>The present invention discloses a method for processing Channel Quality Information (CQI). The method is used in backhaul link and includes the following steps: coding the generated CQI and obtaining the coded information; scrambling the coded information and obtaining the scrambled sequence; modulating the scrambled sequence and obtaining the modulated complex-valued symbol sequence; spreading the modulated complex-valued symbol sequence in frequency-domain and obtaining the frequency-domain spread complex-valued symbol sequence; mapping the frequency-domain spread complex-valued symbol sequence onto the physical resources of Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH), wherein the physical resources are configured by the system. The present invention also discloses an apparatus for processing CQI. The present invention effectively enables the Relay Node (RN) to carry the backhaul link CQI on PUCCH of the backhaul link and to transmit the CQI to the Evolved Node B (eNB).</p>
