PURPOSE: A fluorescent lamp is provided to improve the transmittance of an ultraviolet light by forming a glass powder on the inner surface of the luminous tube to form a fluorescent material layer. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent lamp is comprised of the luminous tube of a rectangular box. The luminous tube is comprised of a dielectric material passing ultraviolet light. A pair of external electrodes is formed on the top and bottom of the luminous tube. A glass power layer(5) is formed on the inner surface of the luminous tube. A fluorescent material layer(6) is formed on the glass powder layer and the inner surface of the luminous tube.
