PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide foaming gum which does not lose foaming properties during a time between production and consumption, which shows excellent foaming properties when chewed, and which also has good flavor, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The foaming gum which causes the sense of foaming when chewed in the mouth, includes a first sugar coating layer 13 which does not contain acid or alkali components and a second sugar coating layer 14 which contains alkali components in this order on the outer peripheral surface of the core 10 which consists of chewing gum containing acid components.
