PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a columnar pressing member for working and forming a flange shape having an appropriate thickness in the end part as to the tool for working the end part of a flexible tube. SOLUTION: In the tool for working the end part with which the end part of the flexible tube is crushed and worked into the flange shape with a bar-like pressing member, a stepped part is formed projectingly from the peripheral surface inward in the radial direction in the vicinity of the bottom of a cylindrical space inside a holding member which is formed by combination, further force fit into the cylindrical space of the pressing member is stopped by the fact that the top of the pressing member comes into contact with the stepped part when the pressing member is forced into the cylindrical space and, by crushing the end part of the flexible tube with the top of the pressing member in the cylindrical space, the flange shape having appropriate thickness is worked and formed in the end part.
