<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that prevents toner from being conveyed to a developing roller while the toner is not sufficiently charged, and reduces stress due to stirring and conveyance of developer, thereby preventing the degradation of image density, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 2 includes: a developer tank 111 for receiving the developer including the toner and magnetic carrier; a first conveyance path P where the developer is conveyed substantially in the horizontal direction; and a toner supply port 117 for supplying the toner to the first conveyance path P. In the device, the toner supply port 117 is formed on the upper part of the first conveyance path P, and a plurality of electromagnet 118a-118g for intermittently absorbing and opening the developer is arranged on the upper part of the first conveyance path P. In the base of the first conveyance path P, down slopes 121a-121g dropping toward downstream side in the direction for conveying the developer are formed at the position where the developer attracted to the electromagnet 118a-118g is opened and dropped. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
