PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain facsimile equipment suppressing the erroneous transmission of image information, and to obtain an imaging apparatus, a communication system and a program. SOLUTION: First destination information indicating a transmission destination of image data, which is transmitted from the transmission destination via a telephone line 80, is received via a facsimile interface part 54, and second destination information indicating the transmission destination of the image data is acquired via a user interface 22. When the transmission destination indicated by the received first destination information is different from the transmission destination indicated by the acquired second destination information, a CPU 32 performs control not to transmit the image data.
