<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hardly broken capillary for optical fiber into which an optical fiber is easily inserted, and also to provide a method of manufacturing the capillary. <P>SOLUTION: The capillary 1 for optical fiber has a through hole 12 into which the optical fiber is inserted. At least one end part 11 of the capillary 1 for optical fiber has an expanding form so that inner and outer diameters both increase toward the end side.
