Disclosed is a method for detecting allergen-specific activated T cells, which comprises the following steps: (a) providing samples each of which contains animal-derived T cells that have been cultured in the presence of interleukin-2 (IL-2) while contacting or uncontacting with an allergen; and (b) measuring the percentage of CD4-positive cells that express CD25 at low levels in all of CD4-positive cells in each of the samples, subtracting a measurement value obtained when the sample is not contacted with the allergen from a measurement value obtained when the sample is contacted with the allergen, and determining a value calculated by the subtraction as the percentage of allergen-specific activated T cells.
