PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car of a pushing-up type elevator reducing manufacturing cost, and miniaturizing a suspension sheave installing structure, by omitting a suspension sheave installing beam. SOLUTION: A first emergency stopping mechanism 20 and a first suspension sheave 30 are installed in one end part of a lower beam 6. The first emergency stopping mechanism 20 and the first suspension sheave 30 are mutually adjacently arranged between mutual one end parts of a first lower beam member 9 and a second lower beam member 10. The first suspension sheave 30 is installed on respective under surfaces of lower side flange parts 9b and 10b of the first lower beam member 9 and the second lower beam member 10 in the one end part of the lower beam 6 via an installation shaft 32, a first U bolt 33A, a second U bolt 33B and a plurality of nuts 34.
