PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image capturing apparatus configured to simultaneously perform the setting change and the adjustment by performing a manual focus adjustment, and also, easily return to the original autofocus setting. SOLUTION: When determined that the predetermined adjustment is performed (S502), the execution of the adjustment (S505) and the currently set items are stored (S506), after changing the set value (S508), the adjustment amount is changed (S510, S511). Besides, when determined that a predetermined button is operated (S512), a storage flag subjected to the adjustment operation is determined (S513), and while the storage flag is set, the stored set items are read out, then, the setting is returned to the original setting state (S523), consequently, even when the AF mode is selected, the AF mode is easily changed to the MF mode with a single operation by means of the predetermined operation member, also, the focus position can be adjusted, and also, the apparatus can be returned to the original AF mode by operating the predetermined button.
