PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the number of devices receiving stream data regardless of the connection of a device relaying a stream in transmitting the stream data over a copyright protected bus. SOLUTION: The stream relaying device performs authentication for a relay between it and a relay source device in performing authentication between it and a relay destination device. The relay source device increments the number of devices that receive the streams by the authentication. At the completion of stream transmission between the relaying device and the relay destination device, the relaying device notifies the relay source device of the number of relay destination devices.
