PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of waste melting treatment capable of preventing occurrence of defective ventilation in a filler layer formed in a furnace in executing a steady melting treatment. SOLUTION: In this method of waste melting treatment by charging the waste or massive carbon combustible substance into the furnace and discharging ash components in the waste melted in the furnace from a furnace bottom section, a ventilation securement material mainly composed of the waste and incombustible reaching a heating melting region of a furnace lower section without gasified, is charged to secure voids for ventilation in the filler layer formed in the furnace.
