<p>Provided are a coaxial connector wherein the variation of the amount of an inside conductor which is clipped by a connecting terminal is reduced, and there is a high reliability in connection between the inside conductor and the connecting terminal, and a method for assembling the coaxial connector. An inside contact (20) connected to an inside conductor (51) of a coaxial cable (50) has a conductor placing portion (21) on which the inside conductor (51) is placed and a conductor clipping arm (22) which is integrally formed with the conductor placing portion (21). An engaging portion (23) projected from the side surface is formed in the conductor clipping arm (22), and is bent toward the conductor placing portion (21) to retain the inside conductor (51) together with the conductor placing portion (21). A retaining portion (12) or a retaining portion (25), into which the engaging portion (23) of the conductor clipping arm (22) is press-fitted is provided in the conductor placing portion (21).</p> |
