<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of driving a plasma display device which permits stable writing operation to display a high-quality image even when a discharge cell adjoins an unlit cell. <P>SOLUTION: The method of driving plasma display device is characterized in that, in a certain field, when a discharge cell whose gradation to be displayed is a lighting threshold or more is set to be a lighting cell in the field, a discharge cell whose gradation to be displayed is less than an unlit threshold is set to be an unlit cell in the field and a lighting cell adjoining the unlit cell is set to be a space unstable cell in the field, the discharge cell adjoining the space unstable cell is lighted in the prescribed subfield of the field. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
