The method involves detecting an input variable such as weight, movement and pressure using sensors (105-107) e.g. pressure sensors, provided in a seating surface, in a backrest, in an arm rest and/or in a head restraint in a seat (101) of a vehicle to determine a variation. The input variable is compared with a preset variable so that a feedback e.g. play, takes place optically, acoustically and/or haptically depending on the variation by a multimedia unit (104) and/or by a multimedia interface. An independent claim is also included for a device for evaluating an action in a seat, comprising a processing unit.
