IMAGING DEVICE, AND FLASH DETERMINING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging device which can improve the accuracy of detecting an external flash.

SOLUTION: An imaging device 1000 includes an imaging unit 11 for continuously imaging an image using a CMOS imaging element, and a flash determiner 12 for determining the presence or absence of a flash on the basis of the image imaged by the imaging unit 11. The flash determiner 12 monitors a change in the mean brightness level of a predetermined area in the lower part of a display screen of the image imaged by the imaging unit 11, and determines the presence or absence of the flash on the basis of the monitored change in the mean brightness level.
