PURPOSE:To reduce effective blind sector, and to improve playability, by attaching a first gain and a second gain smaller than the first gain on an amplifier means, and selecting the first gain at the time of feeding a pickup at high speed, and the second gain at the time of feeding the pickup at stationary speed or a low speed. CONSTITUTION:A servo amplifier 13 is constituted in such way that it is provided with the first gain and the second gain lower than the first gain, and the gain is switched corresponding to the feeding mode information of a slider issued from a command signal generation circuit 7. In stationary speed feeding, or slow speed feeding at time of a slow or a still operation in a playing state, the second gain is selected, and triple feeding, or fast feeding such as jump at time of a reverse or a search operation, the first gain is selected. Meanwhile, in the jump at time of the reverse or the search operation, the gain is set higher than that of a play or the slow or the still operation, therefore, it is possible to suppress an error rapidly without sacrificing the responsiveness of the slider.
