The vehicle has a braking device including a brake part, which is adjustable between a vehicle non-retarding resting position and a brake position. The brake part e.g. band or thread, is inseparably firmly connected to a body in a front of an associated vehicle wheel. The braking device lowers the brake part in an emergency brake situation. An intermediate lining is formed between a vehicle wheel and a roadway for increasing the braking action.
