An organic electroluminescent element comprises a supporting substrate, a sealing substrate, and a layered body including a pair of electrodes and an organic light-emitting layer located between the electrodes, in which the layered body is mounted on the supporting substrate and is surrounded by the supporting substrate and the sealing substrate to be isolated from the external environment, a highly thermally radiative layer is provided on at least one face of the supporting substrate and at least one face of the sealing substrate, or the highly thermally radiative layer has a thermal emissivity of equal to or more than 0.7.
