PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To omit unnecessary power failure handling and power recovery processing when power is recovered during power failure handling.SOLUTION: When power is recovered while backing up data in a storage unit 101 to a backup storage unit 102, a control unit 100 causes a stop unit 103 to stops backup of data halfway. An area securing unit 105 secures a storage area according to the data in the storage unit 101 in the backup storage unit 102 without completely erasing the backup storage unit 102 or writing back information to the backup storage unit 102 in power recovery.
