PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a state of the mixture of injected fuel with lubrication oil to a permissible range even when engine stop control is performed.SOLUTION: A direct injection type internal combustion engine 10 includes a recirculation passage 40 that recirculates to an intake passage 20 evaporative gas of the fuel mixed with the lubrication oil in an oil pan 38. An ECU (electronic control unit) 50 performs idle stop control for temporarily stopping the internal combustion engine 10 in an idle operation state when cooling water temperature of the internal combustion engine becomes equal to or higher than a permissible temperature. Further, the ECU 50 performs stop condition correction control for correcting the permissible temperature based on an oil dilution ratio of the lubrication oil and engine temperature. Accordingly, the oil dilution ratio can be confined to a permissible range by appropriately adjusting the frequency of performance and the duration time of the idle stop control according to the oil dilution ratio. |
